Patient Notice

Dear Patients,

You may have seen in the media changes that NHS England have asked GP practices to make as of May 15 2023. This includes making arrangements for patients who have requested an ‘on the day appointment’ when the practice has met capacity (or is fully booked).

What this means for you:

If you feel you need to be seen on the day – as usual, the phones lines will open at 08:00 (please avoid 08:00-10:00 for any non-urgent queries). We have upgraded our telephone system so that you can press the call back option. We will ask you a few questions and either 1) book you on the day, 2) offer you the next pre-bookable or 3) should option 1 or 2 not be available, we will signpost you to an alternative service appropriate to your condition including local pharmacy (see below), Urgent Care Centre, 111 or A&E.

For routine care, there will be no change and you can pre-book either a telephone or face to face (your choice) with the clinician most appropriate to meet your needs.

You can also use the website to “ask us a question”, use the NHS App and use the website to request medications.

Your local pharmacy will also be able to help you with queries relating to minor illness. Please visit the NHS website for more information.
